As mentioned before, there is so much to see on this great tour. Paia Plantation is another one of the many stops. Here a delightful continental breakfast will be served to start your journey. Then we're off to the ''Top of the World'' at the majestic Pu'ula Ula, meaning red hill. This is the pinnacle of Haleakala at 10,023 feet. From here the island is a breathtaking panoramic view. Take it in, capture some pictures, and then catch your breath and we're off. Continuing down the mountain we'll take you through cattle and dairy ranches to the beautiful Paniolo cowboys of Makawao. Now home to a variety of little shops and boutiques, this place was once a prominent cowboy town. It still boasts the old hitching posts from back when horses were more common than cars. It's also here where you'll have your lunch.
After you eat the next portion of our tour takes to the incredible Haiku rainforest. Here the grass is always a dazzling emerald green. The plant life is gorgeous. This is where the kama'ainas live on land with bountiful groves of avocado, citrus banana, papaya, mango, and exotic tropical flowers. The colors of the landscape flow as if you were in a painting. The experience of this beauty doesn't end with viewing however; you'll be privileged to take a swim in the crystal clear waterfall pool as well!
Once you dry off from the swim, we'll take you to Keanae Peninsula. It's a little tongue of lava that juts right out into the ocean. It's a remarkable site when the ocean waves crash into the jagged lava Keanae shore. Be sure to capture photos of this, as it is a one of kind scene. The return journey continues to the spectacular Hookipa Beach Park. The wind surfing capital of the world supplies even more outstanding photo opportunities.
