Hidden Trail Jeep Tour

Tour ID: akt-31
Duration: 4 Hours
Location: Kauai
Leaves from: Kilohana Plantation, Puhi, Kauai

On the island of Kauai there are many sites that you must see. This off road jeep tour takes you to all of them! Arguably the most remarkable thing about the Kilohana Crater is the change in vegetation as you climb the mountain and get to 1250 feet above sea level. Our jeep will show you in style and comfort with tour guides sharing all of the interesting facts about the mountain that they know as you go. You'll also see the sugar, rat berries, guava, and bamboo along the coastline of Mayaulepu. The bottom of the crater is about one half mile wide and plays home to wild pigs. The view on both sides is simply breathtaking. Come ride with us in our off road jeep, it's an adventure you won't forget!

After seeing that glorious view you'll be taken to a rest area where our tour guides present information about the history and cultural significance of the island. Learn about how the Polynesians migrated to Hawaii and more! The information doesn't stop there. The tour guides will also narrate the story of how the sugar industry became prominent in Hawaii and how agriculture shaped the people that live there. Next you get to see the Papuaa reservoir. Located at the base of the mountain, the reservoir is a fun place to venture. Then you'll see the bunkers built in World War 2. Enjoy some refreshments after that and then visit Hawaii's oldest plantation town, Koloa. Return to Kilohana from there and your journey ends. It's an excursion filled with fun, adventure, history, and memories that will never leave you. Let us take you with us as we cruise up the mountain in our off road jeep as we teach you about the island of Kauai!
